Syriac on Windows

Before you begin, make sure you have Syriac fonts installed — download the free Meltho Fonts.

Configuring Syriac on Windows 10

  1. Go to Settings → click on Time & Language → Language → + Add a Language.
  2. Search for or scroll down until you find Syriac; select "Syriac" and click Next; then click Install.
  3. Exit out of the Settings screen. You should see the Language Bar in the Taskbar with "ENG" displayed. Clicking on "ENG" will display the language options, from which Syriac can be selected as the input language. To toggle between keyboards, press Windows key + Space Bar or Left Alt + Shift.

Once Syriac is selected as the input language, you can begin typing in Syriac in any application that supports Unicode text.
